America’s Most Beautiful (Part 1) Kingsbury Grade (The Climb to S. Lake Tahoe) is a beautiful 1 hour 44 minute workout that starts at the Sierra-Nevada Basin and climbs to the Sierra summit via Kingsbury Grade. This is a tough workout that will train your legs to climb. The views are spectacular, the workout is grueling, the rewards are amazing!
Our workout to Lake Tahoe begins in the quaint town of Genoa, just south of Carson City. We’ll continue south, admiring the views of the majestic Sierra Nevada’s, knowing, we’ll have to climb them too! This is a fast start into a long climb.
The climb to 8000′ above sea level begins and we hunker down and let the power in our legs get us up. This is a fun, tough workout with some great views of the mountains and the Nevada Basin. The landscapes change as we get higher and higher until we reach the top and gaze at the massive lake below!
