Your Workout Today – it’s not the usual…
Anaerobic The Islands of British Columbia is a 1 hour 50 minute workout that explores 2 islands in B.C. We begin on Salt Springs Island and ride the entire length, then, hop a ferry to Sydney and continue our ride into the capital city of Victoria. This is a fun fast ride that will test your limits. There are few breaks and and the intensity is high. This is an amazing workout to build your thresholds, strengthen your heart and increase your VO2 max.
It’s a beautiful day on Salt Springs Island! We’ll begin our workout in the small art town of Ganges and ride the long way across the small Island (about 12 miles). It’s a fast start and you’ll be pedaling hard to get up the hills and battle the winds. It’s just you and the road (and a van that’s following you)…
After a short ferry ride to the main Island, we’ll begin our workout in the town of Sydney B.C. We’ll pedal south towards the Butchart Gardens with our destination, the capital city of Victoria. The workout is difficult and the ride is fast because the sun is setting and we have a ways to go.
This is a very rewarding workout with a clear beginning and end. You’ll feel a strong sense of accomplishment, you’re legs will be exhausted and you’ll feel great!
