Get ready to roll! Part 1 of this 2-part series is a scenic warm-up designed to prime your legs for bigger efforts to come. Clip in for a delightful 60-mile journey through the heart of Colorado.
The Ride:
- Fort Collins Farewell: Our adventure kicks off in vibrant Fort Collins. Take a moment to soak in the countryside and lake views before setting off on your journey west.
- Poudre River Paradise: Follow the scenic Poudre River trails, immersing yourself in the tranquility of nature through the city of Loveland Colorado.
- Rural Roads to Carter Lake: Pedal along quiet rural roads, enjoying the fresh air and the feeling of wide-open spaces. As you head west, use this leg to gradually increase your pace, prepping your legs for the challenges ahead in Part 2.
- Aerobic Appetizer with an Anaerobic Aftertaste: This leg is primarily focused on building a solid aerobic base. However, expect a slightly faster pace and potentially some short, intense bursts towards the end to get your heart rate up and prepare you for the anaerobic efforts coming in Part 2.
